Lauderdale Yacht Club Tasmania Inc. is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for children and young people participating in sailing, training, regattas and club activities.
During organised sailing activities and while participating in supervised on-water training, Lauderdale Yacht Club assumes duty of care for participating children through its instructors, coaches, safety boat crews and appointed officials.
Parents and carers remain responsible for the supervision, behaviour and wellbeing of their children whilst on shore at the club, as they would in any public place.
All club personnel are expected to comply with the club's Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and reporting procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child.
