Covid-19 - Lauderdale Yacht Club

Dear Members, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of keeping all of our volunteers and sailors safe all sailing activities have been cancelled for the rest of the season. This includes junior training, advanced training courses and all racing. It is unfortunate that our sailing season has been cut short. We have had an amazing sailing season to date despite the weather! The LYC would like thank Silas Hamilton for his efforts with the advanced junior training program.

Showdown report

Nov 2nd and 3rd the junior Bic fleet travelled to The Royal Yacht Club to represent Lauderdale with the help of a few Bics from Kingston Beach in the BMW Showdown Regatta. The weekend was exhausting for the kids with everyone on the water at 9:30 until 3:30 both days, (no breaks). However they all did Lauderdale and Kingston Beach proud with up to 11 Bics sailing making up one of the biggest fleets on the river, including possibly the youngest skipper on the water at 8 years old.
